Hash

Picadillo is a versatile dish of ground beef cooked with a unique blend of ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • 500 g of ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup green olives, chopped
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 2 tablespoons of capers
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:

  1. Heat the oil in a large frying pan and sauté the onion, pepper and garlic until golden.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook until golden brown.
  3. Add the tomatoes, olives, raisins and capers. Cook over medium heat for 20 minutes, until the flavors blend.
  4. Adjust salt and pepper.
  5. Serve with white rice or use it as a filling for empanadas.
