Arroz con Pollo

Rice with Chicken

Arroz con Pollo is a classic dish that combines delicious chicken and rice flavors in a single cooking.

Ingredients:

  • 500 g chicken breast, cut into cubes
  • 2 cups of rice
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup peas
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric or saffron
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:

  1. In a large saucepan, heat the oil and fry the chicken until golden brown. Set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add the onion, pepper and garlic. Cook until tender.
  3. Add the rice and stir well to absorb the flavors.
  4. Add the chicken, turmeric, peas and chicken broth. Stir and bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat, cover and cook until rice is tender and liquid has been absorbed.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy.
